Description

The Wild Wormwood is an easy to grow perennial shrub that is fast growing, woody at base with ribbed swollen lines on the branches. The leaves are finely divided, fern-like, dark green on top with white hairs at the bottom and releases a sweet smell when touched or brushed as you walk past.

The flowers are creamy yellow, positioned at the end of the branches, small, nodding and present from March to May.

The Wild Wormwood is used extensively in traditional medicine and a spray can be made that repels insects.

The silver gray foliage adds colour and texture to the garden, makes an attractive display in the garden and is an important part of a herbal garden.
