Description

Aloe vogtsii is a medium sized aloe that is usually stemless or has a short stem with the leaves arranged in a rosette. The leaves are dark green with white spots or stripes.From February to April, red or dark pink nectar-rich flowers are borne on a slender, branched inflorescence that tends to grow at an angle or horizontal.

It is an ideal specimen for a rockery or mixed succulent garden bed. It needs some watering during summer and prefers to not stand in harsh afternoon sun.

Wildlife

Plants for Pollinators: Sunbirds are attracted to the nectar of these flowers and will pollinate the flowers when collecting nectar. Various insect pollinators will visit the flowers for pollen.
