Description

Juncus lomatophyllus is a very hardy, evergreen, fast growing water plant that is unusual as it is quite small. Its flat, bright green, strap-shaped leaves are carried in a rosette and have red stems. It bears dark brown flowers in summer.

Because of its small size it can be used in small ponds but as with most water plants should be kept in control as it spreads. It will create habitat and protection for all types of organisms that inhabit the pond.
