Ficus burtt-davyii is a fairly hardy, multi-stemmed, scrambling fig which is evergreen but can become deciduous in times of drought. It has silvery grey bark.
As with all figs the fruit is in fact an inverted flowers with its own species on insect the goes into the fig and pollinates it.The very fine seeds are then formed inside the flower.
The white spotted yellow-green figs are borne from March to November. and turn purple-black with age.The figs attract birds to the garden.
As with all figs it has aggressive roots and should be kept away from walls, pools and paving.It makes a great container plant.This is one of the rock-splitter figs.
