Come and learn with Bruce Stead how easy it is to create exciting and special designs, using excellent all year round indigenous plants and special features.
Bruce is a Garden Designer, Ecological Horticulturist, Passionate Lecturer and Author.
Course Structure for 8 consecutive Saturdays (4 April to 30 May 2020, excluding Saturday 11th April
4 April Creating a Design Portfolio in which all A 3 drawings and A 4 notes will be kept to show each participant how they are progressing.
18 April Creation of design patterns.
25 April Drawing the Course Project Plan to the correct scale. (Only simple scales will be used).
2 May Adding all hard element features to the plan, like pathways, ponds, gazebos, pools, etc.
9 May Adding carefully selected all year round, good indigenous plants to the design.
16 May Visiting Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens to observe plants and hard elements.
23 May Creating a 'Blow up' plan of a special area of the plan.
30 May Drawing an artistic perspective view of the 'Blow up drawing'
NB: Lectures will be illustrated with special design pictures and example drawings and plans. Notes of relevant material will be handed out . Bruce will give group as well as individual attention to each participant.
